Rangers have signed Greg Stewart on a 2-year deal. He joins on a free contract after leaving Birmingham City at the end of last season.
“It means the world to me to get the opportunity to play for this club”
Greg, a boyhood Gers fan, began his footballing career at the Rangers Academy.
“I’m absolutely over the moon and it’s a dream come true to finally be here.”
He has revealed, however, the further boost he received when he spoke with manager Steven Gerrard.
“To have someone like that as the gaffer,” he continued, “and just sitting there talking to him with the presence he has and what he has done in his career, it is great he has put faith in me by bringing me to the club and giving me this opportunity.
The opportunity to play alongside the likes of Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe is something which also excites Stewart, who said: “I feel like I play better with someone who looks to go in-behind, and those two strikers, with the way they play, look to go in behind.
“For me, that is ideal. I’m versatile and can play left, right or through the middle.”
